Fall Transition
Team points way to success
Brittney Pecoraro (right),
a freshman from Chardon, was one of more
than 500 students who appreciated the directions
and information offered last week by Bonita
Bembry (left), director of College Access
Programs, and other members of a mobile
team of helpful BGSU staff.
Using golf carts and two-way radios, the
team cruised the high-traffic areas of campus
to answer questions on the first two days
of classes. While primarily first-year students
took advantage of the service, some returning
students and several new instructors also
found it helpful. The effort was part of
the Fall Transition Program to assist students
in having a smooth start to the academic
year.
The program team continues to coordinate
a ready-response team, which can be reached
through the Office of Student Academic Achievement, 419-372-0495, through Sept. 10 to assist
students with complex academic, financial
or personal problems.
