BGSU hires new general counsel

The University has chosen Thomas Trimboli, deputy general counsel for Howard University, as its new general counsel.

Trimboli received a bachelor's degree in business administration from St. John's University in New York. He holds a juris doctorate from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C.

Prior to working at Howard University, Trimboli was general counsel for Unified Industries, Inc., in Virginia. He has also worked extensively as counsel to various committees of the U.S. House of Representatives.

Trimboli is a member of the New York and District of Columbia bar associations.

Pending his admittance to the Ohio Bar, Trimboli will hold the title of special assistant to the president. He begins work at Bowling Green on June 21.

Trimboli replaces Nancy Footer, who is now the general counsel for the University of North Texas system.
