BG@100 marks progress
BG@100—the implementation of new PeopleSoft administrative
systems on campus—has completed the first contracted
body of work with PeopleSoft Consulting.
This effort involved comparing the business processes
of the PeopleSoft software to BGSU’s current business
processes. An analysis of the likes and differences
in these processes was documented in several reports.
Known as “Fit/Gap” reports, they encompassed
the functional areas of Human Resources, Benefits and
Payroll. Also included in the effort was the creation
of a project plan to implement PeopleSoft’s HCM
(Human Capital Management) software, for Human Resource,
Benefits and Payroll.
Open forums were held May 18, 20 and 26, attended by
60 people from across campus. The forums provide an
opportunity for University employees and students to
ask questions of the project team members. More open
forums will be held in July. Times and places will be
announced on the BG@100 web page at http://www.bgsu.edu/bgat100.
Another form of project communication is the email address
bgat100@bgsu.edu. Use this address to ask questions
of the project team. Include your name and phone number
in your email so that the team can contact you for clarification,
if need be.
