The program, to be held June 20-July 4, is designed
for experienced administrators responsible for thinking
strategically about their institutions' academic change
agenda and who will help their institutions adapt to
a changing future.
“I’m looking forward to reflecting about
higher education as a whole and talking with people
who have the same issues, concepts and agendas,”
Overland said.
Participants are selected based on their scope of work,
breadth of experience and potential to help their institution
respond to changing needs and new opportunities. Typically,
85 to 95 participants are chosen annually from various
institutions nationwide.
The Management and Leadership in Education faculty,
who come from different institutions from across the
nation, is comprised of experts who will guide the Harvard
case studies.
During the two weeks, participants attend classes and
discuss consideration of new curricula, new modes of
delivery, new alliances and more diverse students.
