Staff service awards to be presented Thursday

Nearly 3,700 combined years of commitment to BGSU will be recognized Thursday (April 8) at the annual staff awards program in Bowen-Thompson Student Union. The program will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the Lenhart Grand Ballroom.

Awardees will include 172 administrative and classified staff members who have worked at the University at least 15 years, led by Ilse Thomas, investment manager in the treasurer’s office. She will be honored for surpassing 45 years of service to BGSU.

Eleven retirees are also part of the group. Joanne Navin and Laura Pokorny will be recognized for 25 and 20 years, respectively, at the University, as will nine retirees who reached the 30-year mark: Betty Walton, Merle Trumbull, Mary Holley, Matthew Woolsey, Sandy Meismer, Charles Mears, Sheryl Dennis-Dickinson, Edward O’Donnell and Nancy Lee.
