Wooster Street update for April 1
Starting at 9 a.m. Thursday, April 1, the existing
traffic signal at the intersection of Thurstin/Manville
Avenue and East Wooster Street will be removed
and a temporary signal will be installed in its place.
Traffic will be maintained by city of Bowling Green
police during this operation. This work is expected
to take about six hours, and motorists can expect traffic
delays and traffic stops in this area.
Thurstin Avenue between East Wooster and Court streets
is expected to be reopened to traffic during the late
afternoon on Wednesday, March 31. Lot 11, the
metered parking lot west of Founders Hall, will reopen
at that time.
All construction schedules are subject to change due
to weather and other construction related issues.
As the contractor provides updated information, it will
be sent to the University community by broadcast email.
Updates also appear on a Web site established to keep
the University community advised on the status of the
project at www.bgsu.edu/offices/pr/wooster/
and in the Monitor at www.bgsu.edu/offices/pr/monitor.
During construction, please be alert to increased pedestrian
traffic and to the movement of construction vehicles.
The speed limit on University drives and in all campus
parking lots is 15 MPH.
