Wooster Street update for Monday,
March 29
The section of Ridge Street from Mercer Road to the
parking lot drive west of Kriescher Quadrangle is tentatively
scheduled to close at 7:30 a.m. Monday, March 29, and
be closed for the remainder of the day. The contractor
will be working with utility contractors to verify the
location of all utilities in this area prior to trenching
later this spring. This schedule is subject to change
due to weather and other construction issues that may
arise.
Individuals wanting to park in Lots N and 14 (library
parking lot), Lot O (west of the Health Center) and
Lot 1 (north of the Health Center) should take East
Merry Street to reach or depart from these parking lots.
The contractor will continue to work on new sidewalks
along the north side of East Wooster Street from Conklin
East Drive to Founders Quad as weather permits. Preparation
of trenches for the future installation of underground
utilities along the north side of East Wooster will
continue.
All construction schedules are subject to change due
to weather and other construction-related issues. As
the contractor provides updated information, it will
be sent to the University community by broadcast email.
Updates also appear on a Web site established to keep
the University community advised on the status of the
project at www.bgsu.edu/offices/mc/wooster/,
and in the Monitor at www.bgsu.edu/offices/mc/monitor.
During construction, please be alert to increased pedestrian
traffic and to the movement of construction vehicles.
The speed limit on University drives and in all campus
parking lots is 15 MPH.
