'There she is'... Miss America stops at Firelands

Miss America 2004 Ericka Dunlap accepts a BGSU sweatshirt from Firelands Dean James Smith. Dunlap was at the college Feb. 27 for a reception hosted by the sponsors of her visit to the area. Earlier, she addressed students and guests at Perkins High School as the featured speaker during a Black History Month Community Day program presented by the Confederation for the Betterment of Black Students, a school organization that promotes educational opportunities and cultural empowerment to underprivileged and minority high school students. The 22-year-old University of Florida student is traveling the country speaking on her platform: United We Stand, Divided We Fall Behind.
