learn science and mathematics in innovative ways with
the help of graduate students from BGSU. The University
is receiving more than $1.3 million from the National
Science Foundation (NSF) to improve science and math

State
of the University Address slated
|

State
of the University Address slated President Sidney
Ribeau will deliver his State of the University Address
at 10 a.m. Thursday (Feb. 27) in the Lenhart Grand
Ballroom of Bowen-Thompson Student Union. Faculty,
staff and students are encouraged to come and hear
the president’s message on “Transforming Our Learning
Community: Inquiry, Engagement and Achievement.” Coffee
and fellowship will begin at 9:30 a.m. before the
address. The address will be simulcast to BGSU Firelands’
IDEA Center, 326 West Building. |

Canada’s
national librarian to speak, receive honorary degree at
BGSU
|
| Roch
Carrier, an author and the national librarian of Canada,
will receive an honorary doctor of letters degree from the
University during ceremonies beginning at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday
(Feb. 25) in 101A Olscamp Hall. He will then deliver the
Pallister French-Canadian Lecture, titled “Exploring the
Words and the World.” Read
