Auditions set for Hans Christian Andersen tales at BGSU Firelands

The Caryl Crane Children’s Theatre at BGSU Firelands will hold auditions for a musical version of “Tales from Hans Christian Andersen” from 4:30-7 p.m. Thursday and Friday (Jan. 13 and 14) and from 9-11 a.m. Saturday (Jan. 15) in McBride Auditorium.

Roles are available for ages 10 and up and will involve acting, singing and dancing. There are opportunities for minorities. A song and dance will be taught to each person who auditions. Scripts are on closed reserve in the Firelands College Library.

Ronald M. Ruble, CCCT artistic director, will direct the musical. Jann Graham Glann will be choreographer and music director, with David L. Gilmore as set designer and technical director.

Performances will be at 7:30 p.m. March 3, 4 and 5, and at 2:30 p.m. March 6 in McBride Auditorium.

The community is invited to a BG@100 Open Forum at 9 a.m. Jan. 19 in 314 Bowen-Thompson Student Union. The forum offers an opportunity for all interested faculty, staff and students to learn more about the project to implement PeopleSoft administrative systems.
