Falcons win home, MAC opener
A 17-point third quarter broke a halftime tie and propelled the football Falcons past Temple, 48-35, in their home and Mid-American Conference opener Sept. 22.
BGSU’s two third-quarter touchdowns came courtesy of the defense, on a 35-yard fumble return by Kenny Lewis and a fumble recovery in the end zone by Orlando Barrow.
Bowling Green quarterback Tyler Sheehan threw for 351 yards and four touchdowns as the Falcons moved to 2-1 overall entering Saturday’s Homecoming game against Western Kentucky. Kickoff will be at 6 p.m. at Doyt Perry Stadium.
