Latta, who is director of BGSU's $120-million Building Dreams centennial campaign, will join a group of 100 senior administrators
from throughout the country to study and develop new strategies to help their institutions become more flexible and responsive
to issues facing higher education. The primary focus of the institute is on leading and managing change, developing effective
strategies, realigning staff and financial resources, and evaluating the impact of initiatives.
Latta has worked in the advancement field for more than 20 years, including positions in alumni affairs, public relations,
development and community relations. In addition to her academic experience, she has worked in hospital philanthropy and political
fund raising, and was the founding president of the Bowling Green Community Foundation.
She has been a volunteer fund-raiser for numerous civic and church causes and is active in several professional organizations,
including the northwest Ohio chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), of which she is a former president.
She is also a trustee for Sauder Historic Village.
Latta is a frequent presenter for nonprofit organizations and professional associations, including the AFP, the Council for
the Advancement and Support of Education, and the Mid-American Conference.
