The University Libraries took a big leap this year for its 2007-08 Family Campaign kickoff. The libraries’ Leap Day event
featured Dr. Eileen Underwood, biological sciences, and an army of frogs and “leaping lizards” from the BGSU Herpetarium.
Faculty and staff of the libraries enjoyed a Leap Day meal and the special presentation by Underwood.
Other departments and programs are also kicking off the ninth-annual campaign, in which BGSU asks members of the campus community
to give back to the University. To date, more than $8.2 million has been raised through the generosity of faculty, staff and
retirees. Last year alone, more than 1,700 members of the campus community contributed in excess of $1 million.
Each year, gifts to the Family Campaign support a variety of programs and scholarships, including the Falcon Club, WBGU-PBS
and department-funded scholarships. Individuals may contribute to any BGSU Foundation Inc. fund of their choice, and the gift
will count toward Family Campaign totals. The goal is for 56 percent of faculty and staff to participate in this year’s campaign.
Family Campaign information, with an attached pledge card and envelope, recently was sent to everyone in the campus community.
To make a donation, fill out the pledge card, tear it off, insert it in the envelope and send it to the BGSU Foundation Inc.
