Dr. Bonnibeth Beale Fonseca-Greber
Assistant professor, Department of Romance Languages, School of Teaching and Learning, and Department of German, Russian and East Asian languages
Expertise: French linguistics and second language pedagogy.
Credentials: Ph.D. in second language acquisition and teaching from the University of Arizona, master’s degree in translation from the Monterey Institute of International Studies and bachelor’s degree in French from California Lutheran University. Has presented to the Berkeley Linguistics Society, American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages, Association of French Language Studies, International Conference on Cognitive Linguistics and International Association of Applied Linguistics. Published in Foreign Language Annals and French Review. Member of National Program Reviewer, American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages, National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education, and the board of directors of the Esperantic Studies Foundation.

Expertise: Contemporary Spanish culture, politics and society; Spanish regionalism and literature; contemporary film and literature.

Expertise: Subaltern/postcolonial studies and 19th-century Latin American literature.
Credentials: Ph.D. in Hispanic and Luso-Brazilian literatures and linguistics from the University of Minnesota, master’s degree in Spanish from the University of Iowa, and bachelor’s degree in Spanish from Grinnell College. Has presented to the Modern Language Association and the Latin American Studies Association.
