Rugby matches fierce play with genuine camaraderie

For 40 years at BGSU, the scrums, rucks and mauls of rugby have been part of the sports scene. The Rugby Football Club has gained club status and has gone from virtually no funding to enough funding to have stands and a building at the pitch (game field).

Earlier this fall, current players and alumni gathered to celebrate the club’s 40th anniversary. They shared stories of the special bond of rugby players, and they reminisced about championships and the club’s consistent ranking.
