The challenge for BGSU is to enhance the ways in which students and faculty experience and engage in domestic and international diversity issues. To foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of diverse cultures, the University offers a full complement of academic offerings from Asian to Islamic to Canadian studies. This commitment to cultural diversity also extends beyond the classroom. Through visiting authors, dynamic lecturers, engaging research, guest scholars and lively forums, we are creating an intellectual and social climate in which students and faculty embrace cultural programming as an essential component of their academic and personal development.
