Working parents set priorities

Dr. Susan Brown

Dr. Susan Brown, as assistant professor of sociology and a faculty member in the Center for Family and Demographic Research, believes the majority of dual career families have adults who are happy in their jobs, but not wanting to work longer hours to avoid the rigors, stress and drudgery of home life. Brown’s research, in conjunction with Dr. Alan Booth, a professor at Pennsylvania State University, focuses on refuting a theory known as “The Time Bend.”
