Mieasha Hicks, a freshman at Bowling Green State University, recently won the title of national youth spokesperson for the Boys and Girls Clubs of America. The first person from the Toledo area to win the national competition, she also was awarded more than $17,000 in scholarships and gifts as part of the honor.
