F-16 fly-over
Maj. Mike Timbrook ’91, and Ltc. Rick Liebich ’85, both members of the 180th Fighter Wing of the Ohio Air National Guard in
Toledo, soared over Doyt Perry Stadium before the Homecoming football game against Ohio University. Timbrook is the chief
of safety and Liebich was the squadron commander. Liebich retired in November and this was his last flight.

David Humphrey of Elyria, Ohio, and Sarah Hague of Wadsworth, Ohio, were crowned 2002 Homecoming King and Queen. They are

Alumni band marches at Homecoming
More than 85 alumni band members returned to perform with the Falcon Marching Band. Members represented classes from 1953-2001.

Enthusiasm and pride were contagious under the alumni association’s tent prior to the Homecoming football game.
Spirit Day Challenge
The Office of the Bursar was one of 24 campus offices that participated in the Spirit Day Challenge to support Homecoming
2002.
Ready…Set…Go!
275 runners and walkers participated in the Homecoming 5K Run/Walk. The top two winners were BGSU students: Mario Rothuhund
0:15:35 (first) and Becki Wells 0:17:34 (fifth).
