Because of the Great Lakes Interscholastic Press Association, hundreds of Ohio, Michigan and Indiana junior and senior high
schools have the opportunity to elevate their school publications to new levels of excellence. GLIPA connects high school
publication staff and advisers with professional resources, training and competitions. GLIPA’s goal is to provide advisers
with coaching and guidance so they, in turn, can help their students succeed in writing, editing, design and photography.
On October 2, GLIPA celebrated its 65th year of service to advisers and students and hosted its 50th Annual Scholastic Journalism
Workshop. Nearly 1,000 junior and senior high school students and teachers attended the workshop at BGSU.
