Daniel Ayalon is the linchpin between Israel and the United States

On an ordinary day, Daniel Ayalon ’83 can receive an urgent message by courier from the White House, schedule a meeting at the United Nations and take part in a conference call with the heads of the Israeli government—all before breakfast.

As the Israeli ambassador to the United States, he is the point man on this continent for the tiny Middle Eastern nation that is one of this country’s staunchest allies. The ambassador, who earned an MBA from the University, assumed his post this summer. He is the conduit—the main line of communication—between the two powerful countries.

Ambassador Ayalon, 47, oversees the comprehensive relationship between Israel and the United States—including diplomatic, political, trade, commerce, financial, strategic and cultural affairs.

To read more about the Ambassador Ayalon, please visit the Embassy of Israel, Washington, D.C. website at www.israelemb.org
