The Graphic Standards Manual outlines basic guidelines in order to provide a consistent graphic identity for the University.
The purpose and design of one’s visual communications can vary widely and this manual does not serve to hamper one’s creativity
and flexibility. The use of the BGSU logo is essential in representing the University. The use of additional logos blurs the image of BGSU
and is not permitted. Logos that represent a specific academic/administrative area cannot be used in lieu of the BGSU logo.
Area logos may NOT be used on stationery or business cards. Current usage of any such materials should be discontinued.
There are some University areas that either market to internal audiences or must market to unique audiences. Only the following areas may use a customized logo or logotype on their stationery and visual communication. These exceptions
are:
> Office of the President > Intercollegiate Athletics > BGSU Alumni Association > BGSU Foundation Inc. and the Office of Development > Retail areas such as the University Bookstore, Peregrine Shop and Stampers > Dining establishments (Dining Services office should follow guidelines for academic/administrative areas) > WBGU-TV, WBGU-FM Radio, BG 24 and NWOET Foundation > Newspapers produced in Student Publications (Student Publications office should follow guidelines for academic/administrative
areas)
