Mission Statement
ICS has as its goal the production of scholarly and creative activity in the traditional humanities and arts disciplines as well as in cultural studies, feminist studies, ethnic studies, and other disciplinary areas. We seek to create and facilitate a forum for this kind of work at the university and the larger community.
In particular, ICS stresses work of an interdisciplinary nature and is dedicated to understanding cultural history, to assessing the impact of media on culture and society, and to providing a forum for fresh thinking about the humanities and the arts.
