The Undergraduate Research Symposium
Celebrating Student Excellence
This year the Honors College will sponsor its first Undergraduate Research Symposium, which will feature and celebrate the projects of BGSU students. The symposium highlights work done by students as part of the Honors College Project, SETGO, McNair/TRiO, CURS, AIMS, ACTION, and the PLA. These students are driving BGSU and our community forward with their hard work and dedication to scholarship, so we hope to put their work on display at this event.
All are welcome to attend. We highly encourage Honors students to attend to not only support their classmates and friends but to get exposure to a variety of great project topics.
This year, the symposium will be held on Sunday, April 28th, 2013 from 2:30 to 6 PM in Room 101 of Paul J. Olscamp Hall. Business attire is requested (examples of business attire are slacks, dress pants, button down shirts, suits, knee-length dresses, blouses, and ties) Light appetizers and refreshments will be served. If you plan to attend, please RSVP at this link by April 22nd.
At the conclusion of the symposium, the Honors College Director will present winners of the Mayeux Award, a prize that recognizes outstanding Honors Projects. Honors students who complete their project with a grade of "A" and present at the Symposium are eligible for the prize.
