University Honors Program

Hello my name is Christopher Mitchell and I am the Coordinator of the AIMS & CURS Program.  My job responsibilities consist of recruiting and advising of AIMS students and coordinating educational programming opportunities for these students.  My position serves as a liaison to the undergraduate research and scholarship-oriented program.  I maintain the day to day operations of the CURS office as well as publicizing grant opportunities.  

Before joining the team here at BGSU I worked for both The University of Findlay and Heidelberg University.  I have had the opportunity to work progressively with university and community constituents and have been directly responsible for such diverse areas as event planning, grant writing, budgeting, strategic planning, recruiting, advising, counseling and marketing.  I have worked collaboratively with various communities and educational agencies to design and facilitate multicultural events that celebrate both the richness of human diversity as well as the wealth of human similarity.  

I welcome the opportunity to lead while working in concert with others.  I am committed to establishing mutual respect, partnership, and trust with faculty, staff and students within the community.  I am convinced that the development of healthy relationships with my colleagues, other staff, faculty, and students will prove to be one of the cornerstones of future success.

My time away from the office is spent with my wife, Gilda and my two sons both Christopher and Cameron and my dog Gracie!
