I'm Paul Moore, the Honors Program Director. It is
my job to ensure that the Honors Program serves the
intellectual needs of the students in the program. My
main responsibility as Honors Director is to schedule
courses and work to improve the quality of Honors courses.
I recruit new faculty into the program, visit Honors
classes, monitor student evaluations of the faculty,
and assist faculty who are interested in improving their
courses. I also handle student complaints about courses,
provide academic advising to students, chair the Bashore
Scholarship Committee and counsel students interested
in doing Honors Projects and Graduating with University
Honors. If I can help you in any of these capacities,
please let me know.
When I'm not directing the Honors Program, I'm a scientist
in the Biology Department working on behavior and ecology.
My office is always open and available to students so
come by for a chat anytime.
I have interests outside of biology and Honors which
include playing ultimate Frisbee (I am faculty advisor
to the club team), riding my road bike or mountain bike
any time I can, reading eastern philosophy, and playing
with my two kids. I'm on campus every day from 7:30
to 5:30 either in the Honors Office or in the Biology
Department.
