Hello! My name is Katie Cameron and I am one of the program assistants for the Honors Program. I am responsible for working with the Honors Student Association, advising students who are undecided about their majors, helping with event planning in the office and accompanying certain Honors Learning Community trips. I work on the office part-time and am a full-time Master’s student in the College Student Personnel program here at BGSU.

Before moving to Bowling Green, I worked full-time as an Academic Assistant in the College of Business Administration at Northeastern University (Boston) where I graduated in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a minor in Business administration. During my undergraduate career I studied at the University of New Hampshire, the University of Hawaii-Manoa and Bond University on the Gold Coast of Australia. I also spent 6 months interning in Sarasota, FL. While at Northeastern I worked extensively with New Student Orientation and Parent Programs and with the Admissions office. I also worked closely with the Leadership Office facilitating an Enlightened Leaders series.

When I’m not in the office or at school I love to travel. I have the bug! I love everything from weekends spent white water rafting in Maine, to trips home to visit family in Florida to travel abroad. My favorite travel experiences (outside of my fantastic semesters in Australia and Hawaii) would absolutely be my time spent in New Zealand and South Africa. I also love leisure reading and being outdoors- hiking and swimming, etc.

I look forward to getting to know every student in the Honors Program!
