Sarah Tritschler, Class of ‘05
After I graduated from BG I started working on my Masters in geology at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio in the fall of 2005. I passed my thesis defense this past December. My thesis was entitled "Biogeochemical Processes and Seasonal Effects in Flow-Through Mesocosm Reactors Simulating Constructed Wetlands." During my time in the Masters program I received the Graduate Student Excellence Award for the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences.
I was also able to go to a few conferences to present my research. I went to the North-Central Regional Geological Society of America meeting in Akron, Ohio in April 2006, The American Chemical Society Annual meeting in San Francisco, California in September 2006, and the 10th International Wetland Biogeochemistry Symposium in Annapolis, Maryland in April of 2007.
Starting this January I began the PhD program in the Environmental Sciences program at Wright State. I am beginning research on groundwater contamination remediation.
