Matthew Bertke, Class of ‘06, Trustee 2007-2008 Honors Alumni Society Executive Board

Matthew Bertke received his Bachelor of Science in French Education in 2006 from BGSU.  While at BGSU Matthew was active in the Honors Student Association as the Vice President and Membership Chair, Coordinator of the Honors Ambassadors, President of Kriesher Compton-Darrow Student Council, Secretary of the College Democrats, Member of Resident Student Association, Member of the French Club, Dancer in Dance Marathon, Member of Pi Delta Phi, and a Member of Mortar Board.  He is originally from Kettering, Ohio, but currently works as a High School French Teacher in Sylvania, Ohio.  He is proud to say that he passed his Praxis III exam with high marks.  Matthew recently returned from traveling in Europe and this is one of his great interests.

Fond memories of Honors Program: I loved working with all of the staff.

Impact of the BGSU Honors program on your life: I was very active in the Honors Program and it created a lot of friendships and connections to the university that helped me quite a bit.
