Dennis Bentley, Trustee 2007-2008 Honors Alumni Society Executive Board
Dennis Bentley, who graduated in 1996 with a Bachelor's of Science in Biochemistry, was recently voted the "Most Caring Physician of the Year" for 2006 at Summa Health System. Dennis completed his degree and entered medical school at the University of Cincinnati, graduating in the top 10% of the class of 2000. He graduated Urology Residency at NEOUCOM (Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine), Affiliated Urology Residency in Akron, OH in 2005.
Dennis explains that Urology "provides a wonderful opportunity to care for many different patients with a vast array of medical and surgical problems. I care for both male and female patients, with problems such as kidney, bladder and prostate cancer, kidney stones and incontinence. It is more than I ever wished for. Even in the changing face of medicine today, it is a genuine honor to care for urology patients." Dennis is part of a large urology group in Akron - Physicians Urology

Dennis is also an assistant professor of urology at NEOUCOM which derived from his clinical track based on his research accomplishments and teaching within the urology department.
Dennis and his wife Heather, who also graduated from BGSU in 1996, bought a house in Akron that was built in 1920. It is a French-style Tudor with “lots of character.” They have 2 dogs and are currently on an adoption waiting list. Heather is a marketing manager for seasonal cards at American Greetings.
