The Harry S. Truman Scholarship Foundation awards $30,000
merit-based scholarships to college students who wish
to attend graduate school in preparation for careers
in government or elsewhere in public service.

MISSION STATEMENT:
The mission of the Truman Scholarship Foundation is:
* to find and recognize college juniors with exceptional
leadership potential who are committed to careers in
government, the nonprofit or advocacy sectors, education
or elsewhere in the public service; and
* to provide them with financial support for graduate
study, leadership training, and fellowship with other
students who are committed to making a difference through
public service.
Students must be nominated by the Faculty Representative
at their college or university. BGSU's representative
is Dr. Paul Moore, University Honors Program Director.
Qualified applicants will be sent an email and should
schedule an appointment to meet with him.
In the endorsement process, Dr. Moore will review application
materials, conduct interviews, and select BGSU’s
nominees. Endorsement application deadline is December 15, 2007.
