Introduction to honors and move-in

What is the BGeXperience?

The BGeXperience is a unique academic program designed to help all first year students make a successful transition to college. Through the BGeXperience students develop relationships with faculty and other students and skills that prepare them to succeed academically. The program’s focus on values also encourages students to reflect on their values and decide what is truly important to them.

Is the Intro to Honors and the BGeXperience mandatory?

All students are required to attend these sessions.

What takes place during the Intro to Honors and BGeXperience?

Throughout the four days your student will have the opportunity to hear first-hand accounts about the Honors Program experience from current upper class Honors students at the Honors Student Panel session. Students will also have the opportunity to meet faculty at the Faculty Expectations session. Other events include, but are not limited to, the Honors convocation, Honors cookout, small group session with peer facilitator, and critical thinking assessment event.

Also, on move-in day upper class Honor Students will be available to help you move in to your new home.
