During their first year, freshmen students should take Introduction to Critical Thinking, English 1120, and either Critical
Thinking about Great Ideas or Moral Principles. Although Critical Thinking is mandatory for freshman year, Honors Scholars
is flexible in that other required courses can be taken when most convenient for the student. Indeed, the Honors Scholars
curriculum is limited to the preceding classes to allow students to easily complete coursework for both their majors and for
Honors Scholars.
