VISITING ASSISTANT or ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR/ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR
GENERAL STUDIES WRITING PROGRAM
ACADEMIC YEAR 2008-2009
The General Studies Writing Program at Bowling Green State University has been approved to hire a Visiting Assistant or Associate
Professor who will serve as the Associate Director of General Studies Writing. This position is potentially renewable annually
to three years and may be renewed for additional three-year terms. The position entails a one- or two-course teaching load
per year with course releases to provide administrative assistance in the General Studies Writing Program. Salary is competitive

Visiting Assistant or Associate Professor/Associate Director of General Studies Writing: Three-year appointment with renewal contingent upon favorable performance evaluations. May be renewed for additional three-year
terms. Will teach one or two composition courses per year and assist the director in administrating the General Studies Writing
Program. Qualifications: Ph.D. in Rhetoric and Composition; successful experience teaching composition at the college level;
experience in writing program administration. Specialization in the teaching of developmental writing and experience with
writing placement strongly preferred. Applications must be postmarked by Friday, April 25, 2008.
