Welcome to the Office of Governmental Relations. Our mission is to serve as the primary liaison between BGSU and Ohio’s elected officials and other government offices, as well as to assist in the communication efforts of the University.

This office’s key responsibilities include: serving as an effective voice for BGSU in the effort to secure support and funding at both the state and federal levels; and working with various publics within the BGSU community to encourage their involvement in the political process.

With that in mind, we are pleased to invite you to ‘Advocate for BGSU.’ With one click you are now able to access regular messages about pending legislation and you have the opportunity to make your voice heard by the public officials charged with making critical decisions which directly affect the future of BGSU. Lawmakers have declared time and again that constituent input is crucial to help them better understand the impact of their decisions, yet they do not hear often enough from supporters of higher education.
