Senate Committee on Amendments and Bylaws |

The Senate's Committee on Amendments and Bylaws (FS-ABC) receives or proposes amendments to the Academic Charter or its Bylaws
and reports the amendments to the Senate. Proposed amendments require a two-thirds majority vote of the total membership of
the Senate and, if approved, are forwarded to the President. When proposals are not initiated by the Committee, it is the
Committee's responsibility to word the proposal so that it is consistent with Charter language. The committee also develops
Charter language that incorporates the results of Charter interpretations and serves other editorial functions.
