Internet2 Steering Committee

Committee Members Present:
Tom Andrews, Heinz Bulmahn, Bruce Edwards, Cindy Fuller, Bill Gerwin, Tom Kornacki, Andy Layden, Bruce Petryshak, and Sub
Ramakrishnan,
All were welcomed to the meeting by Bruce Edwards. The meeting agenda and previous meeting minutes were distributed. Meeting
minutes were approved and will be added to the I2 Steering Committee web site.
Bruce Edwards updated members on plans for the Internet2 demo kit. Four projects are available for demonstration of Internet2
capabilities. These are:
- ER Mapper
- Virtual Health Advisor
- Teacher Forum
- Comer Duncan's project
These projects may also be used as demo for the Tech Fair scheduled for October 23.
Also addressed was the Fall Internet2 Member Meeting to be held in Indianapolis, Indiana on October 13-16. Committee members
are encouraged to attend.
The meeting proceeded with a demo of ER Mapper led by Bob Vincent. This demo was completed in conjunction with Central State.
Committee members were able to explore the capabilities of ER Mapper and the data accessible via use of Internet2.
The agenda for the August meeting will include the October Tech Fair and the Fall Internet2 meeting. Once the next meeting
is scheduled, information will be sent to the listproc.
