PeopleSoft Query Basics
PeopleSoft Query replaces FOCUS. The Query Basics class is an introduction to how to use Query.
Budget Administrator training is a prerequisite for attending Query Basics. Participants in Budget Administrator training
will be provided with the necessary background and access for the tables used in Query. Please contact Human Resources for
more information on this training. For those who have taken Budget Administrator training and need only to run PeopleSoft
HCM queries written by another user, a separate training option is being developed. Please contact BGat100@bgsu.edu to express
your interest in training.
Topics to be covered in Query Basics training include viewing an existing query, editing a query, creating a new query, using
criteria, and sorting results. PeopleSoft Query allows the query output to be displayed as a web page, sent to a printer,
or sent to MS Excel for further manipulation. This class is a prerequisite for the Query Advanced training class.
