PeopleSoft Campus Solutions (Student Administration) Update

With less than three months before the Course Catalog go-live in PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, the BG@100 Project Team is very busy with conversion, interfaces, testing, and training.  Conversion is being refined and the information that is to be imported into PeopleSoft is being verified.  Interfaces are being developed to ensure that the legacy system is kept current during the period when processing is being performed in both the legacy system and PeopleSoft.  The PeopleSoft Campus Solution system continues to be tested to ensure that the BGSU business processes work properly.  Training materials and presentations are being developed for the planned training activities.  The BG@100 project team will be continuously repeating these activities over the next 12 months of our phased implementation.  Course Catalog will be implemented first, closely followed by Admissions, Schedule of Classes, Financial Aid, Housing, Student Enrollment, Student Financials, Grading and Transcripts.  The phased implementation will run from July 2008 through June 2009.

The Executive Steering Committee has been presented with the final Campus Solutions Implementation Scope documents and the Project Plan.  This represents a major milestone for the team and establishes the boundaries of implementation.

During the next three months, the BG@100 project team will begin the integration testing processes that will allow the team and the primary users to become more confident with the new system.  The integration testing of Campus Solutions will be an iterative process that will coincide with primary go-lives.  Integration testing is very important in that it helps prove that the system is ready for production.

BG@100 Project Office Update

The BG@100 project team welcomes Rhonda Montague to the team.  Rhonda will be assisting with the Student Financials implementation.  The project team also welcomes Jennifer Simon and Tara Jacobi to the project office.  Jennifer and Tara are joining the team as Training and Documentation Specialists.
