TSC is also the contact point in order to obtain help for any classroom technology ("black box") related problems including audio, video, and technology related items.

My BGSU Web PortalMy BGSU is the primary means for communicating selected academic and administrative information to students, faculty, and staff at BGSU.  A BGSU account is necessary to authenticate and access My BGSU.
Academic Resource CenterARC focuses on helping students use technology to their academic advantage.  Workshops, tutors, tutorials, skill development sessions, digital video checkout program,  laptop loan program based on financial need, and a monthly special event program are some of the services offered.

Atomic Learning Video TutorialsApplication specific tutorials available in an online video format.

 

Firelands Technology SupportOffice of Technology Support Services for those at the BGSU Firelands campus.
BlackboardA Web portal customized to promote distance learning at BGSU.  Allow instructors to create and manage course Web sites.  Allows instructors and students to communicate and collaborate through real-time chats, threaded discussions, class e-mail, and online file exchange.  Interactive distance education for all learners (ideal) provides support for distance education using Blackboard.
Residential Computing Connection (RCC)Provides computer labs and in-room network connection services to on-campus residents.

Digital Video Streaming Services (DVSS)Point of contact for digital video services.  Digital video may be streamed to a classroom, desktop, or residence hall and viewing is controllable by viewer.  Online catalog available to search available programs and also to schedule program for use.

Classroom Technology Services (CTS)

CTS Technical Services - CTS Repair

Consultation for audio visual equipment for classroom presentation (equipment selection and facilities design) and audio visual installation/maintenance/repair.

Visual Production Services

Audio and video production and transfer of non-copyrighted material, digital camcorder rental, and videotaping with an operator.

Audiovisual Distribution Services

Provides technical assistance, equipment, and audio visual cabinet keys for faculty, staff, and students.

Microsoft SoftwareVia an agreement between Microsoft and 15 four-year institutions in the IUC (Inter-University Council of Ohio), some Microsoft software is available for installation on univeristy owned systems, personally-owned systems for students, and personally-owned systesms for faculty and staff.
