The Exchange project will transition account holders from the current BGNet based email system to a new Microsoft Exchange
based email system during the first half of 2008. Once transitioned to Exchange, Windows users can gain access to their email
and calendar using Microsoft Outlook 2007 and Macintosh users can use Entourage 2004 Users will also have access to email

The process of evaluating the administrative computing systems used at BGSU has resulted in the selection of the PeopleSoft
product for implementation at BGSU. Implementation began with the Human Resources, Benefits Administration, and Payroll (HCM)
"Go Live" on June 25, 2005, followed by the Financial Management Solutions (FMS) "Go Live" on February 5, 2007. Campus Solutions
(Student Administration) implementation will be the next module scheduled for implementation. The project to install new administrative

The Data Warehouse (DW) Project is an ongoing initiative focused on creating a single, integrated, secured source of high quality
data designed to support the University's business intelligence (BI) requirements - i.e. reporting and analytics. Over the
life of this project, development of the data warehouse is expected to contribute to the University's planning and decision

Second Life is a 'multi-user virtual environment' (MUVE) in which users of an online 3D space can interact through avatars,
using voice and text chat. The Bowling Green State University Second Life virtual campus was established in April of 2007
as an environment where students, faculty and staff can begin to explore this interactive, collaborative, online virtual world.

In order to provide support for the integration of technology into the curriculum, a program to aid colleges with the purchase
of instructional software and databases has been established. The Academic Software Advisory Committee (ASAC) will review

Microsoft Software License Agreement

BGSU has signed a Microsoft software campus agreement that will allow the University to be able to offer access to popular
