The Office of the CIO maintains several e-mail addresses that are used to communicate
important or time-critical information to the campus community:
CIO-Alerts - Messages from this address will contain information about items
for immediate attention. An example would be a virus/worm alert e-mail or
other urgent news items.
CIO-Inform - An e-mail from this e-mail address will contain technology
related information of which users should be aware. E-mail received from
CIO Information should be considered important but non-urgent in nature.
ITS-Fraud-Notify - An e-mail from this e-mail address will contain information regarding items BGSU account holders may have seen that have
been reported, reviewed, and determined to be fraudulent in nature. These items will be posted to the ITS Fraud Notice web
page - http://www.bgsu.edu/offices/cio/page23424.html.
These means of distributing information are being established to share
information with BGSU account holders in a consistent, established manner. Please be
aware of these e-mail addresses and the information you may expect to
receive from them.
In the interest of ensuring the authenticity of messages sent from these addresses,
each message will be signed with a PGP signature which can be verified using the
PGP Public keys below:
