Another Conversion Milestone Reached
The conversion team members have been making great progress. In the middle of November, the legacy data which identifies the
core attributes of each employee were programmatically loaded for the first time in our test system. Of nineteen required
extracts, this is our most complex. Congratulations to the conversion team for this accomplishment.
BG@100 Training Update Meetings to Begin
Formal monthly meetings begin this month to discuss and plan the necessary training requirements for the HCM Phase 1 implementation.
The primary participants at these meetings will be the Director of the Business Office, Assistant Vice President Human Resources,
BG@100 functional team members, BG@100 trainers, the Project Manager and the Project Director. The first order of business
is to identify the various audiences and their training needs. To date these training audiences have been identified and their
need indicated in parentheses.
- Human Resource Staff (All HR functions)
- Payroll Staff (All Payroll functions)
- Student Employment Staff (All functions related to hiring undergraduate students)
- Graduate College Staff (All functions related to hiring graduate students)
- Hiring Managers for Undergraduate Students (New eHire application)
- Office of Equity and Diversity (Applicant tracking demographics)
- All Colleges (Applicant tracking demographics)
- ITS Lab Monitors (Provide assistance to individual using self-service applications)
- ITS Help Desk Staff (Provide support for HCM questions)
- ITS TSS Staff (Provide support for HCM questions)
- ITS Production Support Staff (Provide support for HCM application)
- All Employees (Instructions on self-service applications)
- All Supervisors (Instructions on viewing leave balances for their employees)
- AHRS FOCUS Users (Training on PS Query and Crystal)

PeopleSoft Response to Oracle Offer
In a letter dated November 10, 2004, Dave Duffield, Chief Executive Officer, outlines the announcement made by the PeopleSoft
Board regarding Oracle's latest offer. The contents of the letter may be reviewed by clicking
here. He also uses this communication to inform customers that PeopleSoft has a plan for 2005 that provides for continued product
development and growth.
