Update - September 2004

HCM Phase 1 Dates Announced

June of 2005 will be a critical month for the BG@100 Project Team. The following dates have been established in the conversion strategy for "go live".

  • June 24, Last Date in Production for Legacy System, AHRS from AMS
  • June 25 & 26, Conversion Weekend to PeopleSoft
  • June 27, First Date in Production for PeopleSoft HCM System

Since not all of the legacy data is being converted into PeopleSoft, the AHRS data will be available for inquiry only either online or by FOCUS programs as of June 27. The conversion of the historical data from AHRS has not yet been planned.

BG@100 Welcomes Ben Santelman

Four weeks ago the BG@100 Team welcomed Ben Santelman to the team as the Project Manager. Ben joins us from CIBER, Inc. He has been working on PeopleSoft projects in higher education for the past seven years. He has served in technical leadership and project management roles throughout his career. Most recently he was the Project Manager for Marquette University's PeopleSoft project.

Other Project Resource Developments

On August 2, Kriss Ferluga joined the team as the Change Management Coordinator. Kriss' primary responsibility will be to prepare written communications to all students, faculty and staff who will be affected by the various BG@100 implementations.

Progress has been made on securing several Application Developers. Offers will be made to candidates during the first several weeks of September. The plan is also to advertise again for additional Applications Developers on several recruiting web sites in the near future.

New Project Office Location

The BG@100 project team is currently located in Hayes Hall. With the addition of the Application Developers to the team, the BG@100 team will exceed the office space in Hayes. The team is planning to move to 414 East Wooster Street, which was formerly the location of the AAA. The building has been leased and is currently being prepared for the team. The exact move date is not known at this time, but will probably occur late September or early October.
