BG@100 CSS Sneak Peek #13

Bursar Balance Forward Details

Synopsis

The BG@100 project will be implementing the Oracle/PeopleSoft Campus Solutions (CSS) system as the Student Administration ‘system of record’ in a phased implementation plan from August 2008 – August 2009.  Details are accessible at the BG@100 web site: www.bgsu.edu/bgat100.

Student enrollment information, the course catalog, class registration, financial aid processing, Bursar processing and Admissions application processing for Summer 2009 and following will be processed using CSS.  As a result, users may experience or see some processing taking place in the legacy system for Spring 2009 as modules continue to be transitioned to CSS during the early months of 2009.

Questions regarding the implementation are welcomed and may be directed to BGat100@bgsu.edu

This Sneak Peek was created during the BG@100 CSS implementation and was accurate as of the time of publication.  As the phased implementation progresses, some of the information presented in this Sneak Peek may be subject to change. Please consider this document accurate as of the time of publication and be aware that changes and updates to the system may have taken place since the creation of this document.

Details

In April 2009, the Bursar's Office will transition to a new system for billing.  With the new system all monthly Bursar billings will be sent electronically to BGSU email addresses.

As a part of this transition, all account balances were carried forward to the new system (CSS).  If an adjustment was made to an account for Spring 2009 activity or prior, the details for that adjustment are found on the Bursar Balances Forward Details link.  These details are then merged daily into one transaction and passed to the new account in CSS.

To access this information, the student will log in to MyBGSU and select the Bursar Balance Forward Details* link from the MyServices menu.
