Wireless Network Strategic Plan - Budget Year 2005-2006
In budget year 2005/2006, continued efforts should be made to provide wireless network coverage to buildings that house large classrooms, coverage
should be established in buildings where people congregate, and additional outdoor zones should be created.
Wireless coverage for buildings with large classrooms:
The Psychology building has a number of large classrooms that could benefit from wireless coverage. Additionally, the departments
that occupy the building could utilize the wireless network in their academic presentation. It is anticipated that the wireless
coverage in this building will be utilized.
Overman Hall has a number of large classrooms that could benefit from wireless coverage. Additionally, the departments that
occupy the building could utilize the wireless network in their academic presentation. It is anticipated that the wireless
coverage in this building will be utilized.
Wireless coverage for buildings that have high traffic areas:
The first floor of the Anderson Arena
The first floor of the Health Center building
Coverage for outdoor areas:
An outdoor wireless access zone that covers the area from the Math Science building to Hayes Hall should be established.
An outdoor wireless access zone that covers the area around the Psychology building should be established.
An outdoor wireless access zone that covers the area between the Fine Arts building and Saddlemire Student Services should
be established.
