On May 24 the BG@100 Executive Steering Committee was audience to a presentation by the project team on the proposed scope
of the Human Capital Management (HCM) implementation. HCM comprises the payroll, benefits and human resource functional areas.
The scale of the HCM implementation required consideration of all guidelines set forth in the Executive Strategic Outline
(ESO) - the document that essentially gives the project team their operating parameters. The ESO guidelines and functionality
of the HCM software shaped the formation of a scope definition. This scope definition is the declaration of the intended purpose
of the implementation at a high level in regards to functionality.
The scope of what now will be labeled HCM Phase 1 Scope contains the following functionality.
Replaces currently deployed AHRS functionality only, except as specifically stated
Core Human Resource Module (with workflow turned off)
Partial Position Management (new functionality)
Applicant Tracking (minimal to replace current AHRS functionality only)
North America Payroll (basic functionality)
Commitment Accounting
Base Benefits
Employee Self Service
View Paycheck
View Compensation History
Retroactive Pay with Benefits Deductions and Expense Distribution
The Executive Steering Committee approved the HCM Phase 1 Scope during their June 14 meeting. The entire scope document is
available for your review at

It is the understanding of the project team that further phases of implementation are dependent on the successfulness of the
HCM Phase 1 implementation.
