BG@100 CSS December Go-Live
A BG@100 Campus Solutions (CSS) Go-Live event is scheduled for the weekend of December 5-7, 2008. With this implementation several changes will take place.
Self Service Implementation
Employee Self-Service
On September 22 a new Employee Self Service application became available via MyBGSU. Using this new self service application employees are able to access the Update Personal Information link under MyServices in MyBGSU. This self service application allows employees to directly update their address and phone number information in CSS. This feature is available 24 x 7. The BG@100 CSS Sneak Peek #1 provides a sample view of the application as of the September go-live.
As of the December Go-Live additional self service items will be available for employees. These include:
- My Names
- My Addresses (additional address types will be included)

Change in Web Links for Summer 2009 Course Catalog and Class Search
On Monday, December 8 at 8:00 a.m. the Course Catalog and Class Listing for Summer 2009 will be available in the PeopleSoft CSS system. This implementation may necessitate changes to any web pages that currently contain links to Course Catalog and Class Listing information. Areas are asked to review the links incorporated in their web pages and revise as necessary any links as outlined below:
The Summer 2009 Course Catalog and Class Listing will be accessible at:
- Course Catalog - http://webapps.bgsu.edu/courses/indexps.php
- Class Listing - http://webapps.bgsu.edu/classes/indexps.php?term_code=2
- Please note: if your current link did not include "term_code=2" at the end, then replace your Class Listing link with: http://webapps.bgsu.edu/classes/indexps.php
Fall 2008 and Spring 2009 Course Catalog and Class Listing will continue to be accessible at:
- Fall 2008 Schedule of Classes - http://webapps.bgsu.edu/classes/search.php?term_code=3
- Spring 2009 Schedule of Classes - http://webapps.bgsu.edu/classes/search.php?term_code=1
- Course Descriptions - http://webapps.bgsu.edu/courses/search.php
Changes in Course Numbers in CSS (beginning with Summer 2009 course / class information)
- course numbers in CSS will be 4 digits rather than 3 digits
- courses that currently have 3 digits and do not start with a 0 will have a 0 (zero) added to the end of the number - for example BIOL 205 will be BIO 2050
- courses that currently have 3 digits and start will a 0 will become 2 digits - for example MATH 095 will be MATH 95
- subjects with special characters have changed - for example A&S is now AS
- inactive subjects will appear in the Schedule of Classes which do not have any class sections attached - these will disappear after 5/18/09 - to view valid subjects, use the Browse Catalog feature
Changes in System Availability during BG@100 Go-Live
- As a result of the BG@100 Campus Solutions (CSS) implementation scheduled for December 5-7, an outage has been announced stating that CSS will be unavailable from 5:30 - 10 p.m. on Friday, December 3. The BG@100 Project Team does however, reserve the right to make the system unavailable at additional times if necessary during the go-live period. Processing in FMS will continue to e available - the go-live activities will not impact FMS transactions.
