Administrative Systems Project
Update - March 2004

The process of evaluating the administrative computing systems used at BGSU has resulted in the selection of PeopleSoft for implementation at BGSU. The third party vendors who presented Housing and Document Imaging solutions are currently being reviewed.

The Human Resources, Benefits, and Payroll modules will be the first to transition to PeopleSoft. The project is currently progressing with a fit gap analysis for this module and the creation of a detailed project plan. The initial team members for this portion of the project include: Alexandra Sanderson from PeopleSoft, Charlotte Petryshak, Mike Failor, Karen Woods, Donna Wittwer, Larry Smith, Rick Williamson, and Joe Luthman from BGSU. While staff from Human Resources are working on the PeopleSoft project, Joanne Navin, John Konecny, and Janice Veitch will be providing continued support for the Office of Human Resources. In the Payroll office, Lori Schumacher will be postponing her retirement for one year in order to provide appropriate resources.

With progression into the next phase of this project, it is an appropriate time to establish a name for the project. Your ideas for a name for this project to transition the administrative systems to PeopleSoft may be forwarded to Cindy Fuller by Thursday, April 1, 2004. A name for the project will then be selected and communicated.

During May open forums will be held to provide an overview of the project. Details regarding date, time, and location of these open forums will be announced in April.

A listproc will also be established to share information regarding this project. If you would like to receive information via this listproc, please forward your request using your bgnet email address to Cindy Fuller stating your interest in being added to the listproc.
