PeopleSoft Campus Solutions (Student Administration) Update
The BG@100 project team has finished the portion of Campus Solutions modeling required to finalize the implementation scope.
Some modeling activities will continue, but the modeling required to propose solutions for the gaps identified in the fit
gap phase have been completed. During the month of March, the final scope document and implementation time line will be submitted
to the Executive Steering Committee (ESC) for their review. A project plan is also being refined which will provide a more
detailed account of tasks that must be completed to go-live with Campus Solutions.
ESC has approved an Action Item which established the DARwin system as the Degree Audit facility for the Campus Solutions
go-live. The DARwin system will be interfaced to the Campus Solutions system. The University will continue to evaluate the
advisement module with any new release of Campus Solutions and when the module is deemed to meet the BGSU needs more fully,
it will be implemented.
The RMS (Residential Management System) implementation continues. RMS has performed a fit gap and training at BGSU and will
be continuing the implementation process during the month of March.
The BG@100 project team will be busy with a variety of activities between now and the end of spring semester. The team will
begin the unit testing processes in the Campus Solutions modules which will allow the team and the primary users to become
more confident with the new system. The team will continue to test the conversion of information from the legacy system to
Campus Solutions which will allow the team to confirm that the conversion is correct. The team is assembling Advisory Groups
that will assist by providing feedback on the implementation decisions. The training group is working on a training schedule
and beginning to construct presentations that will be offered to the campus during the upcoming months.
